Lincoln County is located in Eastern Nevada and has a population of about 4400 people. The county seat is located in the town of Pioche. The county grew rapidly in the late 19th century with the discovery of silver and the mining companies that came to search for riches in the local mountains. Today Lincoln County consists of mosly ranching and farming in the valleys, but big changes could be on the way with a spreading city in Las Vegas searching for more land and resources. This is already becoming a reality with a massive community development at the border of Lincoln and Clark counties already in the works.
